“All divers should protect the waters they swim and hunt in, ensuring future divers the experience and excitement of freediving that I’ve had over the past seventy years. I strive to produce high quality, spearfishing and diving equipment capable of handling any condition."

These tips work great on the larger model riffe guns and have a lot of striking power on impact. They also hold the fish even if you are fighting it from the surface for an extended period like I had to do with a large White Sea bass. It’s not ideal around rocky areas - the original one I had bent severely when it hit a rock after passing though a fish. Luckily, they screw off and are easily replaceable at an affordable price. Was this helpful?

Although I am growing fonder of the single flopper shafts for open water spearfishing, nothing beats the Riffe double-flopper screw on tips for hunting in and around rocks. I still have a tip on one gun that I use almost weekly that is more than 25 years old. If I bash it about too much I just put it on the grinder and sharpen it up. I just bought this tip as a future replacement for that shaft/gun combination, as it is getting a bit too short!. I will also say that the small double flopper shafts require much less penetration to hold a fish than the current single flopper shafts, and the fish cannot work against the tip like they can the single flopper shafts. Was this helpful?
