The P1 Utility Float is your tag along float for shore diving and spearfishing. Orally inflate to use as a marker or deploy the CO2 cartridge (not included). Sometimes you need a little lift and assist while retrieving fish at depth. This float’s shining feature is its capability to accept a CO2 cartridge (not included) for quick inflation. Swiftly deploy the float with a pull of a chord. Oral inflation is simply achieved by using the Push Stem Valve.

Suggested Uses for the Utility Float

• Marker float while diving

• Clip speargun to float

• Wear on weight belt with the Float Holder (sold separately) and deploy at depth to assist with fish retrieval out of kelp or caves. A straightened line keeps the pressure on.

RESOURCE CONSERVATION IS A RIFFE HUNTING PHILOSOPHY.
In Jay’s days of participating in spearfishing competitions, he eventually felt sorrow by the amount of fish that were taken, both large and small. Jay recognized the devastating effects. There would be none left for the future generations. This shaped his vision to adopt the practice of taking only what is needed for consumption.

“All divers should protect the waters they swim and hunt in, ensuring future divers the experience and excitement of freediving that I’ve had over the past seventy years. I strive to produce high quality, spearfishing and diving equipment capable of handling any condition."

"Selective Divers set their sights on those few prize fish for consumption. Be Selective, Fish for the Future.”  – Jay Riffe

More features than the old float

I have the older version of this float, I was very happy to see the newer ones released. Few more features than the older float with the whistle and the new pull string. The holding pouch seems a little to big I couldn’t keep the float in my weight belt with the new pouch so I’m using my old pouch holds it just fine. It was a pain to put the new pouch and then remove and put back the old pouch on my weight belt. I have yet to use the popper just inflate it with the mouth piece. By far the best float on the market, if only the pouch was more secure when holding the float.
